Worm Rescue Kits for Schools, Forest Schools & Groups
Support hands-on outdoor learning with our Bulk Buy – 10 x Worm Rescue Kits for Kids. Designed to help children safely rescue worms from pavements and hard surfaces, these kits encourage empathy, responsibility and connection to nature through gentle, meaningful action.
Ideal for schools, forest schools, early years settings, homeschool groups, nurture groups and outdoor learning programmes, this bulk pack allows whole classes or small groups to take part at the same time.
Each Worm Rescue Kit is thoughtfully designed to give children a practical, up-close understanding of these essential soil engineers. The kit includes compost and dried leaves to help children create a safe, shaded environment for worms, alongside a mini spade for gently digging and loosening soil so worms can safely wriggle back underground. A water syringe allows children to moisten the earth — helping them learn why damp soil is vital for worm survival and soil health.
The accompanying educational booklet explains the life of worms, their role in decomposition and nutrient recycling, and why they are crucial for healthy ecosystems and plant growth. Children can also use the included tally chart to record each worm they rescue. Once they reach 10 rescues, they can get in touch to receive a Nature Nurture Kids Certificate and badge — celebrating their efforts and reinforcing positive environmental action.
Inside each tin, children will also find a handy worm identification guide printed on the inner lid, helping them recognise different UK species and encouraging closer observation and scientific enquiry.
