BEACH CLEAN KIT

Know a little adventurer who loves exploring the beach?

AGES 6+

Whether they’re already a little eco-warrior or simply love adventures by the sea, the Beach Clean Kit gives children a fun new way to explore the coast. Armed with their own beach-cleaning tools, they can explore the shoreline, hunt for hidden litter and help look after the wildlife and places they love.

At the heart of the kit is a robust, folding litter picker made using recycled plastic recovered from fishing nets and other marine waste. Unlike many lightweight litter pickers, it’s designed to last — and it’s repairable too, so if a part eventually wears out, the whole picker doesn’t have to be thrown away. Pretty fitting for a tool designed to help tackle waste!

Alongside the litter picker is a whole set of practical tools designed to tackle litter in different places. Children can use the sieve and spade to search through sand for hidden pieces of litter, the bamboo net to scoop floating rubbish from the water’s edge, and the scissors, with adult supervision, to help tackle fishing line or netting caught around rocks and other accessible areas. Add the biodegradable rubbish bags and they’ve got everything they need for a proper clean-up adventure.

Everything packs neatly into a recycled drawstring bag with sturdy, adjustable straps, so it can be made comfortable for even the smallest eco-warriors to carry. There’s even a hidden pocket for those all-important little finds along the way.

With an enormous amount of plastic and other rubbish finding its way into our oceans, helping children understand the problem — while giving them practical ways to make a difference — has never been more important. Rather than simply learning about protecting the planet, they get to roll up their sleeves and actually help.

And despite the name, Beach Clean Kits aren’t just for beaches! They’re designed for adventures all year round, whatever the weather. Take one along for river and lake cleans, woodland walks, trips to the park, the walk to school or anywhere else you might spot litter that needs picking up.

Perfect for: beach-loving children aged 6+, seaside holidays, coastal adventures, river and lake cleans, family walks, litter picking, outdoor activities, little eco-warriors and unusual nature gifts.
