Gentle Wildlife Care Kits for Group Learning
Our Bulk Buy – 10 x Snail Rescue Kits for kids helps children to create a natural environment for snails to thrive. Children will learn how to safely move snails out of harm’s way while learning about habitats, care and respect for living creatures.
Well suited to early years settings, schools, forest schools and homeschool groups, these kits promote calm, mindful outdoor learning.
Each Snail Rescue Kit is carefully designed to give children a truly hands-on wildlife learning experience. Inside, they’ll find specialist tools and materials, including a tiny spoon to safely break off small pieces of calcium — an essential mineral that supports snail growth and helps repair and strengthen their shells. Dried leaves are included to help children create shade and provide a natural food source, encouraging discussion around habitats and micro-ecosystems.
The accompanying educational booklet introduces children to the life of snails, their role in decomposition and soil health, and why these often-overlooked creatures are important for a balanced ecosystem. The booklet also includes a simple tally chart so children can record each snail they safely rescue. Once they reach 10 rescues, they can get in touch to receive a Nature Nurture Kids Certificate and badge — celebrating their commitment to helping wildlife and encouraging continued environmental responsibility.
Inside each tin, children will also find a handy snail identification guide printed on the inner lid, helping them recognise different UK species and encouraging closer observation and scientific enquiry.
